fmanheim@usgs.gov
Frank T. Manheim is a marine geochemist with 30 years USGS service. His experience includes analytical chemistry applied to earth problems, marine mineral resources, ground water chemistry and hydrochemistry, particulate matter in coastal and ocean waters, and in the past 5 years, contaminated sediments in coastal and estuarine environments. Along with team members at the Atlantic/Gulf Coastal and Marine Geology center at Woods Hole MA, he is developing new cooperative approaches toward collecting, validating and mapping coastal sediment data, and preparing useful ways to disseminate information about chemically-related environmental problems.
