Chris's interests include the development of an office-wide GIS that can be used easily and conveniently and he plans to continue to develop standards that can make it possible for the casual user to access all information in our possession. Goals include visualization and the development of tools that can be delivered over the network or on CD-ROM. He has a keen interest in developing 3D perspectives and multimedia capabilities that will provide new ways of viewing our diverse data sets. He is also interested in the development of a knowledge bank that would serve as the principle resource for the understanding of the nation's marine realms. This activity will serve as an innovative research solution to the management of data and information to improve our ability to do research.
