This digital product represents the bedrock geology of the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota taken from the most recently published regional compilations. Minor modifications and generalizations have been made from the published maps. This product is intended to provide a regional overview of mineral deposits and their relation to regional geology and is not intended for use at scales greater than 1:500,000. To fully utilize these datasets, you must have access to ArcView version 3.x or Arc/Info version 7.1.1 or greater. ArcExplorer also provides a more limited display and analysis capability. ArcExplorer is available at no charge and can be downloaded from ESRI.
