You are about to install GSSTK software. (GSSTK is a rewrite of the original DOS GSSEARCH software.) The GSSTK software uses a Tcl/Tk (Tool Command Language/Tool Kit) script to provide the graphical user interface (GUI), and a C language executable running in the background to do the data search, retrieval, and manipulation. Using Tcl/Tk allows the same GUI script to run on Windows 95, 98, and NT, as well as MacOs, Linux and Unix systems. In order to use the GSSTK software, GSSTK.EXE, GSSTK.TCL and the Tcl/Tk software must be installed on your computer. This will be done automatically as part of the GSSTK installation. Simply run winsetup.exe from the CD. A GSSTK directory will be created for the software, and a WIGLO directory for the database working directory. A shortcut to the database will also be installed on the Desktop. Do not edit GSSTK.TCL in any way. If it becomes corrupted, simply copy it from the source directory on the CD.
