Examples Examples Each of the following example images is a close up view of the same region of the map area (Bering Strait). Each image was drawn by SurView using .SHP files and proprietary .BOB files. Some interactive modification of the display attributes was done during the SurView sessions to customize the views. For each example image, there are 2 buttons: (a) the 'SurView' button will launch SurView from the CD to draw the specific set of files used to create the image (b) the 'Info' button will display a description of the files used and the steps required to tailor the display attributes to match those of the example image using SurView. Most of these changes involve simple modification of display attributes and selection of specific features. The text window can remain open to guide you through the SurView interaction. You can also minimize it or resize it. There is no 'print' option, but the text can be copied to the Windows clipboard, pasted into Notepad and printed. NOTE: You will not be able to save the changes you make during these SurView sessions (since the files are write-protected on the CD-ROM). -------------------------------------------------- Example 1 shows lode deposits and placer districts (red, diagonal ruled areas) with 5 million scale geology and offshore geology as a background. The following files were used to draw this view: \circum\shp\geol5m\rox5mte.asx \circum\shp\base\w_mask.asx \circum\shp\base\hydro.asx \circum\shp\geol5m\flt5m.asx \circum\shp\geol10m\geoloff.asx \circum\shp\depos\placer.asx \circum\shp\depos\lodedep.bob To reproduce this view, click the 'SurView' button to launch SurView to draw these files with the default display attributes.
