The slide shows the sampling plan for downstream variation of gravel in the Poudre River valley:

1-Eight sites from Ft. Collins to Greeley were sampled to measure downstream variation.

2-At each site, two or three sections 500 ft apart were sampled to measure local variation.

3-At some sections, sampling was replicated to measure sampling error (indicated by “2” in slide).
