This CD-ROM contains U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 99-426
in PDF file format, data files, and software to install Adobe Acrobat
Reader.

The PDF files are readable only with Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.

The following files and directories are contained in the root
directory of this CD-ROM.

Reader Installer    - Mac OS Adobe Acrobat Reader installation software
   or
Arcd4enu.exe        - Windows 95, 98 or NT Adobe Acrobat Reader
                      installation software

ofr99426.pdf        - main report PDF file

PDF                 - directory of associated PDF documents
      PLOTS         - subdirectory containing plates in PDF format

DATA                - directory of data files
      EG102.TXT     - data files
         |            TEM results as text files readable by any text
      through         editor.  Each TEM sounding is a separate file.

      EVERGLAD.TEX   - binary database file of TEM data and models

2. ACROBAT READER INSTALLATION

To install the Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 4) double click on one of
the following installer files located in the root directory of the CD-ROM:

Reader Installer (for Mac OS)

Arcd4enu.exe (for Windows 95, 98, or NT)

3. OPENING THE REPORT
=====================================
To open the report after Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed, double click
on the report icon ofr99426.pdf.
