Aleutian-Bowers sedimentary basin 

(Cenozoic) 
(Northern Pacific and Bering Sea, unit CzKs)

Consists chiefly of sedimentary hemipelagic and clastic deposits of Eocene and younger age. Overlies 
igneous and sedimentary rocks of the Aleutia terrane. Thickness ranges from 2,000 to 12,000 m. Thickest 
deposits fringe the southern margin of the Bering Sea in the area north of the Aleutian arc.
