Kuril volcanic arc (early Miocene to Holocene) (Kamchatka Peninsula, unit QTvi) Consists chiefly of four assemblages: (1) green tuff (early to middle Miocene); (2) volcanic-cherty- diatomaceous rocks (late Miocene to early Pliocene); (3) basalt (late Pliocene); and (4) andesite and associated rocks that form Quaternary active volcanoes.
