North Chukchi (Vil'kitskii) sedimentary basin 

(Tertiary and Quaternary) 

(Northern part of Chukchi Sea, unit Czs)

Consists chiefly of Cenozoic progradational sequence of clastic sedimentary rocks that reaches thicknesses 
of 4 to 8 km. Configuration of basin defined by seismic-reflection data in the east and potential field data in 
the west; westward extent of basin is uncertain. Contains shale diapirs REFERENCES: Kos'ko, 1984,
