Skonun sedimentary assemblage (Miocene and Pliocene) (East of Queen Charlotte Island, western part of Canadian Cordillera, unit Ts) Consists chiefly of Miocene and Pliocene marine and nonmarine sandstone, mudstone, conglomerate, and coal. Presently mainly submerged. Interpreted as being deposited during rift-related(?) subsidence of the Queen Charlotte basin. REFERENCE: Higgs, 1991.
