Tinro sedimentary basin (Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic) (Sea of Okhotsk, unit Czs) Consists chiefly of Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic marine clastic and siliceous sedimentary rocks up to 10,000 m thick. Seismic-reflection data indicate four unconformable sequences in the deepest part of the basin. The basement of the basin may be entrapped oceanic crust that was not subducted during the collision of the Okhotomorsk collage. REFERENCES: Zhuravlyov; 1984; Baboshina, 1984, 1985.
