Five coalbed methane prospects and plays from the Gulf Coastal Plain are discussed in this presentation. The following diagrams provide some preliminary information on depositional environments, stratigraphy, depths to coal-bearing units, coal rank, and coalbed gas contents. An initial calculation of gas in place for coal beds in the Gulf Coastal Plain is provided.
