By Peter G. Chirico and Jack B. Epstein
U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 00-224 consists of the open-file report document (as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file) and the ArcInfo export files and ArcView shapefiles required to produce a map of geology and topographic change. The original CD, upon which this site is based, also contains U.S. Geological Survey Fact Sheet FS-117-00, which briefly summarizes the topographic change analysis described in the open-file report, and an ArcExplorer GIS project file that can be used to view the GIS data layers that are available on this website.
[The file above is the complete report with plates in PDF format, 20 MB]
Because of the large size of the report, it has been broken into three parts for easier downloading.
- Text without the plates [3 MB]
- Plate 1. Geologic Map of the Frankford and Germantown Quadrangles, Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania and Burlington County, New Jersey [6.5 MB]
- Plate 2. Map Showing Distribution of Fill in the Frankford and Germantown Quadrangles, Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania and Burlington County, New Jersey [7.2 MB]
You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader 4 installed. Acrobat Reader 3 cannot handle the large-format page size of the plates.
If you wish to download the latest version of Acrobat Reader free of charge, click here.
