This ArcView GIS data layer contains the navigation fix points for the
R/V FARNELLA 90-3 cruise.
Purpose:
The trackl.shp file shows the R/V FARNELLA 90-3 trackline. This GIS overlay
is a component of the U. S Geological Survey, Woods Hole Field Center's,
Gulf of Mexico ArcView GIS database. The Gulf of Mexico GIS database is
intended to organize and display USGS held data and provide on-line (WWW)
access to the data and/or metadata.

This file contains only the locations of the individual navigation points.
Navigation fixes were recorded in the mrg-mrg format at a two minute interval.
The date and time information is contained as attribute information in
the trackp.shp file.

Completeness_Report:
The trackl.shp file contains all the navigation fixes for the entire R/V
FARNELLA 90-3 cruise. Navigation fixes were recorded every two minutes
in the mrg-mrg format.
The newly created vector segment was displayed using the PCI program Imageworks
and verified. No errors or inconsistencies were found, so the vector segment
was output as an ArcView shapefile.

Technical_Prerequisites:
The R/V FARNELLA 90-4 core location overlay is available in an ArcView
shapefile format. The user must have ESRI's ArcView 3.0 or greater software
to read and process the data file. In lieu of Arcview, the user may utilize
