0 - 50 cm -  Reddish yellow, 7.5 YR 6/6, hard medium sand, very well sorted (no shell material). Gradational lower contact (color change only).
50 - 392 cm - Light brownish gray, 2.5Y 6/2, hard medium sand. (The color difference between these two units may be due to downcore differences in water content and related organic activity subsequent to collection of the sample).
