Time-series file
format
The Y_file is a binary file containing time-series data as a
sequence of blocks. Each block is a record for a segment of
time-series and is preceded by a header containing specific
information about the block. These files consist of 2-byte integer,
low-high byte words and each block in the file contains data in the
following order.
