USGS Open-File Report 02-205 Merged digital aeromagnetic data for the Middle Rio Grande and southern Espanola basins, New Mexico by Sweeney, Grauch, and Phillips This directory contains a report and digital data files and descriptions of final compilations of total-field and reduced-to-pole aeromagnetic data from six surveys covering the Middle Rio Grande and southern Espanola basins. The final, merged total-field aeromagnetic grid consists of data observed 100 m above ground. The final, merged reduced-to-pole aeromagnetic data observed 100 m above ground corrects for polarity effects that are typical for aeromagnetic data collected at northern mid-latitudes and generally places local anomalies directly over their sources. Data grid and geographically registered images for plotting or import into ARC/INFO or ARC/VIEW are provided. Text files describe the content and format of the files. GXFINFO.TXT describes grid files. IMGINFO.TXT describes TIF and PDF files. To begin, read the file 1report.pdf. The report explains the procedures followed to produce the data files, shows page-size images of the data, and describes the digital files available. To view this report, you must have an Adobe Acrobat reader, version 4 or higher. It is available free of charge from www.adobe.com.
