Dulles Airport AMT Electrical Section

The Dulles electrical section was compiled using data from 6 AMT sites across the Dulles compartment on Washington Airport Authority Property and on the Eleanor C. Lawrence Park property along Highway 28. These data were collected during the winter of 2000.  MT parameters were calculated from impedances and plotted on a projected line that trends S7°E. Digital Elevation Model corrections were applied to the profile using a 30m grid. The data were smoothed, and gridded using minimum curvature techniques to generate the electrical section.  The small crosses under the AMT stations are the data points. A near vertical diabase dike and a near horizontal sill are imaged by the electrical section. The AMT data are available as cross- power, spectra or impedance files in the data section.
