A Spatial Database of Bedding Attitudes to accompany Geologic map of the greater Denver area, Front Range urban corridor, Colorado, by Donald E. Trimble and Michael N. Machette

This geospatial database has been approved for release and publication by the Director of the USGS.  Although this database has been subjected to rigorous review and is substantially complete, the USGS reserves the right to revise the data pursuant to further analysis and review.  Furthermore, it is released on condition that neither the USGS nor the United States Government may be held liable for any damages resulting from its authorized or unauthorized use.

The database can be downloaded via the Web from http://geology.cr.usgs.gov/pub/open-file-reports/ofr-03-025/.  ArcInfo export files and ArcView shapefiles may be extracted from a gzip-compressed tar file (ofr-03-025.tar.gz) or zip-compressed file (ofr-03-025.zip).  In addition, an Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) file (ofr-03-025_v1.1.pdf) may be downloaded, from which paper copies may be printed.  Version 1.1 updates the background display of geology as published in I-856-H v1.1. For the most accurate color rendition when printing, please specify the Adobe RGB monitor profile.

The data were compiled from the published geologic mapping.  One review, by Clark Roberts, of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was performed.  

This geospatial database consists of ArcInfo export files (.e00) and ArcView shapefiles contained in a gzipped tar archive or zip archive.  Both compressed archive files contain both types of geospatial database files.  See the list below.  Please refer to the file ofr-03-025.met for detailed metadata documentation for this geospatial database.
