SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:

Spectrum characteristic of pyrite with a broad Fe absorption at 1.20 microns and a sharp absorption edge in the visible. This is a coarse grained sample of pyrite that has withstood weathering for the better part of a century.
