SAMPLE_DESCRIPTION:
Average reflectance of a single oak leaf, measured laying flat on a strongly absorbing laboratory benchtop. The leaf was cut from a tree and measured after oven drying for 72 hours at 30 degrees Celsius. The dry leaf weight was 0.83g. The leaf, when measured, was a dull green color with some portions of the leaf affected by degradation of chlorophyll caused by the drying process.
The fresh leaf was dark green in color with a weight of 1.65g (see sample Oak-Leaf-1). The leaf was collected from the sunlit east side of the tree from the lower branches.
