ADCP and Boogie Dopp profile data are documented on the second sheet (velocity profiles) of these xl files The first block of data contains BD data from the down beam. In addition to obvious data Within the 13 lines of header also listed are the velocity scale (a calibration multiplier used by the processing software to correct speed data (this is often 1.0). Other parameters listed are vN (the vertical profile number, the mean depth, in meters, vTime, the number of seconds from the proceeding midnight, and v#GdCells, the number of good depth cells determined by the unit based on depth, backscatter, and side lobe assumptions. The block of data containing downward beam information includes: Column 1 is the bin or cell number Column 2 is depth below surface in meters Column 3 is depth below surface in centimeters Column 4 is uncorrected (for calibration) speed in meters per second Column 5 is the calibration corrected speed in centimeters per second Column 6 is distance above bed in centimeters The value in blue at top of col. 6 is water depth in centimeters The information in columns 4, 5, and 6 then repeat for all 20-21 profiles Similar information is then shown in the 2nd block of data for the forward BD acoustic beam. The third block of data contains three columns that include: Column 1 is the bin or cell number Column 2 is the depth below surface for the standard down (stdD) beam in meters Column 3 is the depth below surface for the forward beam in meters The 4th block of data is profile information for the ADCP measurements. Information following four lines of header includes Column 1 is distance below surface for each bin in meters Column 2 is distance below surface for each bin in centimeters Column 3 is speed in centimeters per second Column 4 is distance above bed in centimeters for each profile listed 1st line of header is water depth measured by ADCP 4th line of header shows depth measured by BoogieDopp (in cm) Column3 and 4 then repeat for all 20-21 measured profiles. The third sheet in the xl file contains the BD output from the handheld computer computer converted to ascii. That information is similar to the BD data on the second page (Velocity Profile)
