Subsequent to publication of U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 2004-1250, Flood of June 4-5, 2002, in the Maquoketa River Basin, East-Central Iowa, in August, 2004, errors were found in data used to establish many sea-level elevations used in this report. Reprocessing of the data resulted in the revision of bench mark and high-water mark elevations at 17 bridge sites. Rather than issue an errata sheet, the first edition (August 2004) of Open-File Report 2004-1250 has been superseded by a second, revised edition printed in February 2005. Printed copies of the first edition of Open-File Report 2004-1250 should be destroyed and replaced by the revised, second edition of February 2005.
Following the publication of the second edition, an error was found in the gage datum or sea-level elevation for the Maquoketa River at Manchester gaging station (station number 05416900). This error affects elevation data published on pages 17, 18, and 27 of the second edition. The corrected pages 17, 18, and 27 are presented here as three errata pages. (pdf, 427 KB) The third, revised edition (August 2006) comprises the addition of the three errata pages to the second edition.
The first and second editions have been removed from U.S. Geological Survey publications online at http://pubs.water.usgs.gov/ofr2004-1250/. They have been replaced by the third, revised edition dated August 2006. Readers who downloaded or printed the first or second editions from http://pubs.water.usgs.gov/ofr2004-1250/ should replace the file or copy with the third edition.
