Steele Point discharge: Steele Point station was installed June 6, 1997, and is located at Lat 27 11' 57.8'' Long 80 12' 25.4'', on the wingwall of the Evans-Crarry bridge at Port St. Lucie, Florida. Velocity at the site was measured using a Sontek Argonaut 4.2 version SL Acoustic Doppler Meter (installed Nov. 15, 1998) and stage was measured using a shaft encoder (installed Oct. 14, 1999) with float and steel tape. A rating was developed for the site in order to calculate discharge. Velocity data recording was discontinued on October 5, 2000. Discharge units are reported in Cubic feet per second (CFS).
