Steele Point stage:

Steele Point station was installed June 6, 1997, and is located at Lat 27 11' 57.8'' Long 80 12' 25.4'', on the wingwall of the Evans-Crarry bridge at
Port St. Lucie, Florida. Stage was initially measured using a YSI pressure transducer. It was replaced 
on Oct. 14, 1999, with a shaft encoder with float and steel tape, which was installed in an 8-inch 
PVC stilling well. Funding exists to continue monitoring stage at this site through the 2002 Water Year. Stage units 
are reported in feet (ft).
