The elevation was generated by inverse modeling of the pseudogravity anomaly and adjusting the surface to fit known data points. Purpose: This raster grid was created to model depth to the granitoid body that crops out at the Climax Stocks. Because granitic bodies may have hydrologic properties different from those of rocks they intrude, knowledge of their three-dimensional distribution in the subsurface is important for analyzing the southward flow of ground water into Yucca flat. The magnetic anomaly was filtered by upward continuation to an elevation of 2400m. The resulting upward continued magnetic anomaly was transformed to the magnetic potential (pseudogravity) anomaly. The magnetic potential anomaly was inversely modeled to generate a predicted surface of the elevation of the Climax stock. The predicted surface, which did not match the data point at drill hole ER-8-1, was buffered by 400 meters to match the data point. The data above the outcrop of the Climax stock was replaced by the actual outcrop data. This final surface matches all available data to within the resolution of the surface.
