Electrical Property Measurements of the Meade Peak Phosphatic Shale Member of the Permian Phosporia Formation, Caribou County, Idaho |

Open-File Report 2004–1364 |
Version 1.0 |
Published 2004 |
This report presents the preliminary laboratory results of electrical property measurements made on samples from the Meade Peak phosphatic shale member of the Permian Phosporia Formation. For this laboratory study, the electrical properties were measured using the complex resistivity method. These measurements were made to determine if samples from different units can be differentiated by their geophysical signatures. The preliminary laboratory results suggest that frequency dependent electrical property measurements have some potential in differentiating barren from ore-bearing shale samples. |
