Instructions for using the free version of Oasis Montaj version 6.1.0, by Geosoft

To display a grid on the screen as a color image:
1. On the "File" menu, click "Project", then click "New"
2. Browse to the folder with downloaded files and specify a name for the 
	project in "File Name:"
3. Click "Save" button.
4. On the "Grid" menu, click "Display grid". The "Place a grid on a 
	map" dialog box is displayed.
5. Select a grid using the "Browse" button, and choose other map 
	options, then click "New Map"

To display a grid on the screen as a color-shaded grid image:
1. Steps 1 & 2 above
2. Pull down "GX" menu, select "Run GX"
3. Browse gx selections, choose "gridimgs.gx", open, OK
4. Select parameters in the "color-shaded grid image" window, then click 
	"New Map"

To convert a grid to another format:
1. Steps 1 & 2 above
2. Pull down "grid" menu, select "Copy/convert grids"
3. Browse for "input grid file", select the Geosoft grid with 
	"File of types" box registering "Geosoft", click open
4. Enter "Output Grid File" name
5. Click browse and in next window select format type with "Save as 
	type" pull down arrow, click "save", then "OK".

To download free regional aeromagnetic, gravity, DEM, coastline, or 
rivers data from Geosoft's DAP server:
1. Steps 1 & 2 above
2. Open an existing map from the "Map" menu
3. Pull down "DAP" and select "Get DAP data..."
4. Click "Authorize" button. The "Get DAP Data" dialog will be 
	displayed.
5. Select server, select area, then the data you wish to download 
	(e.g. World Coastlines) and click the "Get Data" button. The 
	"DAP Data Options" dialog is displayed.
6. Use this dialog to specify the parameters for your data. (For more 
	information on the data options, click the "Help" button). 
	Click OK.
7. Click "Authorize" button.
8. Click "Exit" when done.
