Data Modifications 

The first change that was made to Mississippi digital geologic map was the 
attribute USGS-CODE was altered from all capital letters to both capital 
and lower case letters. For example, ECM was changed to Ecm. Some arcs 
were split based on the paper source in order to code such line attributes 
as concealed contacts, borders and so forth. Twelve fault arcs were added 
that were not in the digital files from the state. One polygon was missing 
an attribute and was coded as alluvium based on geology as it has a source 
code of MS202.
