This data set contains tracklines for sidescan-sonar system acquired by the U.S. Geological Survey during geophysical cruises offshore of the Grand Strand, SC.

DGPS was used to navigate the sidescan-sonar system. Layback of the tow-fish was estimated; total error is 10 m.
All systems were navigated using Differential GPS. The sidescan-sonar system is towed at some distance behind the vessel. Slant-range distance is recorded. However, due to some uncertainty, horizontal accuracy is assumed to be 10 m.
These data contain all of the sidescan-sonar trackline navigation collected during USGS work offshore of Myrtle Beach, SC 1999 - 2003. Any spurious data were removed during processing.
No additional checks for topological consistency were performed on the data.
