Acknowledgments

We wish to thank all the field technicians and scientists who over the years assisted with the collection of stream water samples and streamflow measurements, the laboratory analysis of water-quality samples, and the compilation and management of data. We also thank all the scientists from the various USGS Water Science Centers and from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who assisted in retrieval of data used in this report. Specifically, we thank Mary Janet, Jennifer Morace, and Valerie Kelly of the USGS for their help in compiling and quality assuring data from the USGS National Stream Quality Accounting Network (NASQAN) for the period 1996 to 2005.

We thank David Mueller, Daniel Hippie, and Janice Ward of the USGS for their technical review of the report, and thank Iris Collies of the USGS for her editorial review of the report. We also thank Kathleen Fitzgerald, Charles Patton, Donald Goolsby, and Yvonne Stoker of the USGS for their technical assistance in developing the methodology for the dataset preparation, and thank Gregory Schwarz and Richard Smith for their technical assistance with flux estimation error propagation. Much thanks also goes to David Morganwalp and James Ulrich, USGS, for their work in the preparation of this web-based manuscript.
