The purpose of these presentations is to train National Atmospheric Deposition Program / Mercury Deposition Network (NADP/MDN) site operators in the protocol for processing and submitting system blank and blind audit samples to the Mercury Analytical Laboratory (HAL) as part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) system blank and blind audit programs. Complete step-by-step written instructions with color illustrations accompany the system blank and blind audit samples mailed to each MDN site operator. The presentations on the CD-ROM are intended to supplement the written instructions. Written instructions may change over time to accommodate changes in the objectives of the system blank and blind audit programs. Viewing the Presentations For best results, download, save as, or copy the .wmv file from the Web to the computer. Open the .wmv file using Windows Media Player or Windows Media Player for Mac by double-clicking the mouse on the file name or by opening Windows Media Player and choosing "File", "Open", and then browse to find the file(s). Double click on the file name to open it in Windows Media Player. When finished, simply close Windows Media Player.
