COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR FORWARD AND INVERSE MODELING OF ACOUSTIC AND ELECTROMAGNETIC DATA

ABSTRACT

A suite of computer programs was developed by the U.S. Geological Survey for forward and inverse modeling of acoustic and electromagnetic data. This report describes the computer resources that are needed to install and execute the programs, the program designs, some tests of their accuracy, and some suggested improvements.

INSTRUCTIONS AND DOCUMENTATION FOR U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY OPEN-FILE REPORT 2011-1124

The database can be downloaded via the Web from http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2011/1124/. Files and folders may be extracted from a 
compressed zip file (OF11-1124_data.zip). In addition, an Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) file (OF11-1124.pdf) can be downloaded, from which paper copies may be printed and requires Adobe Acrobat for viewing. Acrobat software runs on a variety of systems, and is available for download free of charge from Adobe at: http://www.adobe.com.
