  2. Zip file for NAVD88 version v20130123 contained invalid header - please see FAQ item 1.2 and FAQ item 1.6. This file has been replaced with a new version: v20130410.
  3. Special instructions for unzipping .zip files due to long path names - please see FAQ item 1.1.

    ShorelineManagementTool_OFR2012-1247_v20130410.zip .zip file (39 MB zipped, 51 MB unzipped) Intended for use in any area. Required input data must be prepared by the users as described in the report. Example Python scripts are provided to assist with the data preparation. Includes all ancillary files except those specific to the lower Wood River Valley example.
  • Example version for the Lower Wood River Valley, Oregon - NAVD88:
    ShorelineManagementTool_NAVD88_OFR2012-1247_v20130410.zip .zip file (1.9 GB zipped, 9.4 GB unzipped) Contains all required data for use in the lower Wood River Valley of southern Oregon. Ready to run. Utilizes the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) for elevation reference. Useful for training purposes or examination of input datasets and output results. Includes all ancillary files.
  • Example version for the Lower Wood River Valley, Oregon - NGVD29 / UKLVD:
    ShorelineManagementTool_NGVD29_OFR2012-1247_v20130410.zip .zip file (2.0 GB zipped, 9.4 GB unzipped) Contains all required data for use in the lower Wood River Valley of southern Oregon. Ready to run. Utilizes the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29) for elevation reference. Also contains data for use with the Upper Klamath Lake Vertical Datum (UKLVD). Useful for training purposes or examination of input datasets and output results. Includes all ancillary files.

Individual Components (useful for replacing individual files that may have been updated)

  • AddIn file within the \ShorelineDirectory\Tool_Source_Files folder:
    ShorelineAddin_v20130410.esriAddIn.zip .zip file (0.2 MB) Required ArcMap Add-in file that contains the computer code for the Shoreline Management Tool within a single compressed file. This file must be unzipped for use with the Shoreline Management Tool.
  • User’s Guide file within the \ShorelineDirectory\Tool_Source_Files folder:
    Shoreline_Mgmt_Tool_Users_Guide_v20130410.pdf PDF file (2.8 MB) The version of the User’s Guide that can be accessed from the Shoreline Management Tool using the “Introduction and Instructions” button and selecting “User’s Guide.”
  • Excel file for Single-Time scenarios within the \ShorelineDirectory\Tool_Source_Files folder:
    SingleTime.xlsm .xlsm file (0.5 MB) Excel file used to process the results for SingleTime scenarios from the graphical user interface part of the Shoreline Management Tool.
  • Excel file for Time-Series scenarios within the \ShorelineDirectory\Tool_Source_Files folder:
    TimeSeries.xlsm .xlsm file (0.2 MB) Excel file used to process the results for TimeSeries scenarios from the graphical user interface part of the Shoreline Management Tool.
  • Python script file to create input data of land-surface features and shorelines within the \ShorelineDirectory\Tool_Source_Files\Python_Scripts folder:
    Create_DEM_Slope_Aspect_Rasters_and_Shoreline_v2.py .py file (0.04 MB) Used to create input data required for the Shoreline Management Tool. Creates individual rasters of elevation, slope, and aspect for each polygon of a land parcel layer. The script can also be used to create polygon layers showing the shoreline of the inundated area for each parcel at user-specified increments of surface-water stage.
  • Python script file to create input data of lookup table of stage vs. volume and area: within the \ShorelineDirectory\Tool_Source_Files\Python_Scripts folder:
    Create_Stagelookup_Data_Table_v2.py .py file (0.03 MB) Used to create input data required for the Shoreline Management Tool. Creates lookup of volume and area for each polygon of a land parcel layer at user-specified increments of surface-water stage.
  • Introductory Video to the Shoreline Management Tool within the \ShorelineDirectory\Tool_Source_Files\Tutorial_Videos folder:
    ShorelineManagementTool_Overview_Video_v1.mp4 .mp4 file (3 minutes, 15.8 MB) to familiarize users with the purpose and general function of the Shoreline Management Tool. (Transcript PDF, 40KB)
  • Installation Video to the Shoreline Management Tool within the \ShorelineDirectory\Tool_Source_Files\Tutorial_Videos folder:
    ShorelineManagementTool_How_to_Install_Video_v1.mp4 .mp4 file (3 minutes, 8.5 MB) contains complete instructions on how to install the Shoreline Management Tool. (Transcript PDF, 40KB)
  • Video on How to Run Single-Time Scenarios:
    ShorelineManagementTool_SingleTime_Video_v1.mp4 .mp4 file (5 minutes, 9.3 MB) contains an example on how to use the Shoreline Management Tool to run a Single-Time scenario where the user may define multiple groups of land parcels for the scenario and specify one independent surface-water stage for use with each group of parcels . (Transcript PDF, 103KB)
  • Video on How to Run Time-Series Scenarios:
    ShorelineManagementTool_TimeSeries_Video_v1.mp4 .mp4 file (5 minutes, 9.3 MB) contains an example on how to use the Shoreline Management Tool to run a Time-Series scenario where the user may define only one group of land parcels for the scenario, but may specify a data file of date/time values and corresponding surface-water stage values that will be used to run the scenario using each value of stage for the parcel group. (Transcript PDF, 103KB)
