README.TXT The files contained here consist of data to support the findings in "Water-Temperatures in Select Nearshore Environments of the Colorado River in Grand Canyon, Arizona during the Low Summer Steady Flow Experiment of 2000" by William S. Vernieu (Available at http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2013/1066/.) Each file is named for one of the fourteen study sites that were described in the report, excluding spaces or punctuation. For example, the file "RK1416R_25.csv" contains data collected at the RK 141.6R study site with a 25-m thermistor string. The "site" field in the data file contains the value "RK 141.6R 25m". The fourteen study sites are summarized in Table 3 of the report. Files are in comma-separated-values format (.csv) and may be opened directly in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software. The field names in each data file vary, depending on the length of the thermistor string used at the site, because of the different number and location of each temperature sensor. All temperature values are expressed in degrees Celsius (deg C) and are displayed in hundredths of degrees.
