Data sources used in this process:
Files were double checked that description matched the core that was being described.
This document includes observations from the 10 sites during 2008-008-FA that yielded bag samples. The sites with only bag samples are: 1GGC, 2GGC, 3GGC, 6GGC, 11GGC, 32GGC, and 35GGC. Three sites provided a bag sample along with a core: 7GGC, 8GGC, and 9GGC. Missing numbers are due to failed sites as well as sites with a successful core but no bag sample.
This includes all bag samples from the 2008-008-FA. These samples either came from the core catcher or the cutting head or both. The naming convention is ##GGC, with GGC standing for giant gravity corer.
