Abstract:
The shapefile MongoliaCoalDeposits represents point locations of coal mines, deposits, and occurrences in Mongolia as shown in maps published by Erdenetsogt and others (2009) and the Mineral Resources Authority of Mongolia (2002). The shapefile format can be viewed using ArcGIS or any software package that supports this data format.
Purpose:
The shapefile is intended for use in a GIS project to display the locations of coal mines, deposits, and occurrences in Mongolia.
