The Gold Hill Mining District, Utah

The Gold Hill quadrangle is in west central Utah and is limited by parallels 40° and 40°15' and meridians 113°45' and 114°. This area includes the north end of the Deep Creek Mountains, one of the ranges in the Great Basin. The climate of the region, like that of the major province, is relatively arid, the average annual rainfall being about 13 inches.
