The text version was modified with several clarifications to references to a specific 2006 data set. The necessary reference was included 
in the citation list in the initial posting; the revision clarifies the pointers to that reference in the report.

Captions to figures 1–7 and 1–8 were clarified with insertion of “(Fry and others, 2011)” to give the correct location for the described 2006 
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service land-cover data, which are not published in final form under a “Fish and Wildlife Service” citation.

Text was changed on page 32 to clarify citation of “(U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 2006)” for the same land-cover data set to the correct 
citation “(Fry and others, 2011).”

In the reference citation list, the reference “Reynolds and others (2007)” was changed from “U.S. Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife 
Service” to the accurate “U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service,” since U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service holds Congressional mandate to use “U.S.” 
in the bureau title. No further changes were made to the citation.

In the reference citation list, the reference “Tiner, R.W., Jr.(1984)” was changed from “U.S. Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife Service” 
to the accurate “U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service,” as above. No further changes were made to the citation.

Appendix B was changed in two places in explanatory text with insertion of “Fry and others, 2011,” as described for figure captions above, to 
clarify the accurate citation for the 2006 Fish and Wildlife land-cover data set.

The cover design was changed.
