<dc:description><p>Preliminary graphical analysis indicates that clear-cut&nbsp;logging of a small Oregon watershed has significantly altered certain&nbsp;hydrologic characteristics. After logging, moderate increases were noted&nbsp;in annual runoff, but no significant changes were detected in either&nbsp;peak or minimum flow rates. Both the annual sediment yields and the&nbsp;maximum monthly water temperatures increased greatly after logging;&nbsp;sediment yields and temperatures in the unlogged control watershed&nbsp;actually decreased during the postlogging period.</p></dc:description>
