  <dc:description>&lt;p&gt;Seismically speaking the months of September and October were very quiet. There were no major (magnitude 7.0-7.9) earthquakes. Guatemala was struck by a moderate earthquake on September 29 causing fatalities and considerable damage.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the United States, a number of earthquakes occurred, but only slight damage was reported.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</dc:description>
