The&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;growth of urban areas and the exp&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;ansion of impermeable surfaces alter&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;landscape diversity and modify hydro&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;logic patterns in ways &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="lsa current-selection"&gt;that decrease&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;habitat quality for many desired plant,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;fish, and wildlife species. Impaired wa&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;ter, &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="ls9 ws40a current-selection"&gt;air, and soil quality related to in&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;dustrial, municipal, and agricultural ac&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;tivities &lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="ls9 ws33e current-selection"&gt;have altered the composition&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="current-selection"&gt;of aquatic and terrestrial communities.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</dc:description>
