Louise Jordan Esther R. Applin 1950 <p><span>This paper discusses changes made in the names of three foraminiferal species originally described by the writers, with particular emphasis on <i>"Lockhartia" cushmani</i> Applin and Jordan. The internal characters of this form are fully described and compared with the diagnostic characteristics of the genus <i>Lockhartia</i> Davies and with the geno-lectotype of <i>Rotalia</i>, <i>R. trochidiformis</i> Lamarck, as given by Davies (1932). Comparisons are also made with <i>Lockhartia bermudezi</i> Cole. A plate of illustrations demonstrates the features described.
