  <dc:description>&lt;p&gt;So many ground‐water hydrologists are engaged on problems relating directly to the war that the usual annual inquiry for information as to projects that deserve review in the annual report of the Committee on Underground Waters brought relatively little response. It is in part for this reason, but also in part because the Chairman of the Committee is busy on war problems, that this report is shorter than usual.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</dc:description>
