  <dc:description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;The methods of measuring and estimating temperatures of geologic processes are examined critically. Data for some of the more accurate methods of wide geologic application are summarized by means of tables and graphs. Attention is called especially to two methods that have been used increasingly the last several years: (1) study of liquid inclusions and (2) determination of fractionation of stable isotopes.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</dc:description>
