  <dc:description>&lt;p&gt;The Tishomingo quadrangle is bounded by meridians 96&amp;deg; 30' and 97&amp;deg; and parallels 34&amp;deg; and 34&amp;deg; 30', and occupies one-quarter of a square degree of the earth's surface. &amp;nbsp;It is 34.5 miles long north and south and 28.58 miles wide, and contains about 986 square miles. &amp;nbsp;It lies in the southeastern part of the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, the eastern edge being nearly 3 miles west of the Choctaw-Chickasaw boudary line, and the southern side about 3 miles north of the nearest approach of Red River.&lt;/p&gt;</dc:description>
