King 1979 <p>The purpose of this study was to correlate events recorded on seismic records with changes in lithology recorded from sample descriptions from the Continental Offshore Stratigraphic Test (COST) No. B-2 well. &nbsp;The well is located on the U.S. mid-Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf about 146 km east of Atlantic City, N.J. (see location map). &nbsp;Lithologic data are summarized from the sample descriptions of Smith and others (1976). &nbsp;Sonic travel times were read at 0.15 m intervals in the well using a long-space sonic logging tool. &nbsp;Interval velocities, reflection coefficients and a synthetic seismogram were calculated from the sonic log.</p> application/pdf 10.3133/mf1131 en U.S. Geological Survey Correlation of lithologic and sonic logs from the COST No. B-2 well with seismic reflection data reports
