<dc:description><p>The accompanying map shows nine areas where fault scarps formed in unconsolidated sediments in the Elko 1&deg;x2&deg; quadrangle, northeastern Nevada and westernmost Utah. &nbsp; The faulted sediments include pebbly to bouldery colluvium, alluvium, and pediment gravels. &nbsp; They are inferred to have been deposited in Quaternary time during the last phase of basin-filling sedimentation.&nbsp;</p></dc:description>
