  <dc:description>&lt;p&gt;The Clinchfield Coal Company No. 102 well was drilled in the western part of Buchanan County near the Dickinson County line. &amp;nbsp;The well started in the Pennsylvanian Norton formation and originally stopped in the Big Stone Gap shale. &amp;nbsp;It was later deepened during 1950 to a total depth of 5847 but the samples from the deepened hole were not available for study when this report was prepared. &amp;nbsp;The Clinchfield Coal Company kindly made available for study and publication the samples from the surface to a depth of 4508 feet.&lt;/p&gt;</dc:description>
